The 22-year-old regional player has signed for another season and will compete for the fourth consecutive year in the blue and white cap, which he wore for the first time in 2020, coming from Paleo Faliro. The young pole vaulter, who has been a world champion with the national youth team in 2019, participated in 29 league matches last season, scoring 23 goals, while he scored a further 17 goals in 14 European matches, on Apollo’s path to the Challenger Cup. In total, in his three seasons in the “amphibious brigade”, Goniotakis has 73 appearances and 45 goals in A1.

I’m really happy to be staying in the Apollo family for the fourth season in a row. This year, the team achieved many goals, proving that with hard work and vision, anything is possible. Of course, for the next season our goals are higher, both in Greece and in Europe. On a personal level, my desire is to give my best, contributing to the progress and achievement of the team’s goalsGoniotakis, who has been invited by Thodoris Vlachos to the preparation of the men’s national team ahead of the World Championship in Fukuoka, said on the club’s website.
