“PAOK, and the men’s handball department, announce the start of cooperation with the athlete, Danil Botskariov, for the 2023-2024 season.
Born in Russia on 11/02/1998, Daniil Botkariov plays on the perimeter and is 185cm tall.
He started his career in the 2014-15 season with the Chekhov Bears B’, with whom he won three infrastructure championships, until the 2017-18 season.
His excellent performances with the club’s second team gave him the opportunity to play for the Chekhov Bears, with whom he won the Russian Cup in the 2018-19 season.
In the 2019-20 season he played for Taganrog Yufu, while the next (2020-21) he remained in Russia, playing for Dynamo Moscow.
Then followed a two-year stint at Aeropos Edessa, in Danil’s first “attempt” outside of Russia. In his first year in the Handball Premier he was the top scorer of Aeropos with 105 goals in 20 matches, while last season (2022-23) he was again the top scorer of the Edessa team with 127 goals in 21 matches.
Regarding the start of cooperation with PAOK, Danil Botskariov stated on the official website of the Association, acpaok.gr:
“I am very happy to have come to PAOK. This is a big step in my career, since I am given the opportunity to play in such a big club like PAOK.
