Tsitsipas surrendered to… unreal Alkarath and said goodbye to Roland Garros!

He easily reached 2-0, while a little later he “broke” Tsitsipas’ serve again for 4-1. The 7th game had the same outcome, with Alkarath making the break again for 6-1 and the 2-0 set. In fact, shortly before its completion, the Greek champion was shouting to his father how “I’m not used to such returns, I need to find better control.”

He easily reached 3-0, while a little later he made it 5-2. At that point, Tsitsipas “wake up”, he initially made it 5-3 while with his one and only break in the match he reached 5-4. 5-5 came with difficulty, putting new data in the game.

The two players held their serve for 6-6, with the game headed to bye break. There, Alkarath took the mini break for the 2-1, a very decisive point, since he did not receive a single break of his serve, as a result of which he made the 7-5 and the 3-0 set to qualify for the semifinals of the event.
