The unlikely Norwegian did “things and wonders” in his first season with the Manchester City, scored 52 goals in all competitions and starred in his side’s England double. Now, the “citizens” have in front of them the final of the Champions League against Inter (10/6, 22:0), with the Norwegian stressing how important it is for them to end the year by winning the cup.
In detail what he said:
“It will be something special. I have always dreamed of playing in a Champions League final and it will be an honor for me to compete. But there is also a job that needs to be done. We have had an amazing season but we have to finish it in the best possible way. We know that we will all give everything to win this final. We have to get the best possible performance against Inter.
I was excited about the challenge. I knew I was coming to a team where I would have many opportunities to score and show. Fortunately, this is something I can do. I really enjoyed my first season at Manchester City.
My goal is to help the team lift trophies at the end of the season by scoring goals. I know that if I score goals and support the team, I will help them achieve their goals in the finale of the season. When I score a goal, all I think about is how I’m going to score the next one.”
