“The match was given in Ephesus by the three referees”

In a statement issued on Wednesday evening, Fenerbahce went against the referees of the third semi-final of the TBL against Efes Anadolu, analyzed the phases in which it believes it was wronged and asked the Turkish Basketball Federation to take the necessary measures, describing them as a shame that happened.

“The outcome of this match was not determined by the tactics of the coaches, nor by the team’s struggle on the field. This match was awarded to our opponent, Efes, by these three referees appointed by the Turkish Basketball Federation.

While Efes took 32 shots in the game, our team took only 12. In addition, very crucial fouls were given against us or not given in our favor at key moments of the game and determined the game winner.

We urgently await the explanation behind the attitude of the referees in this match, the source of their motivation and the disgrace from the Turkish Basketball Federation.

Our attitude and response, as Fenerbahçe Sports Club, will be particularly harsh if you do not properly manage the matches that will be played and the efforts that will be made, determining the results with your referees.”
