“Bomb” with Ubovic in Vouliagmeni

“A bomb exploded” in Vouliagmeni on Wednesday. The ‘babies’ have announced the signing of Nemanja Ubovic for next year to bolster their centre-back position with the 32-year-old Serbian international star, who has enjoyed a stellar career in Europe’s top leagues in both of his last two years at Ferencvaros, while having accolades and with the national team of his country.

In detail, the announcement:

“Vouliagmenis Nautical Club is pleased to announce the first transfer addition to the men’s team with the acquisition of athlete, Nemanja Ubovic.

Nemanja Ubovic was born in 1991 and plays as a winger, being international with the Serbian national team and having played in top competitions.

At the same time, the Serbian international has vast European experience, as he has successful stints in the top leagues of the ‘old continent’.

In particular, Nemanja Ubovic has worn the cap of Barcelona and Sabadell in Spain, Brescia in Italy, while in Hungary he first played for OSC and then moved to Ferencvaros, where he played for the last two years.

Immediately after signing his contract, Nemanja Ubovic told nov.gr: “I am really happy to come to Vouliagmeni and to work with the coach, Vladimir Vujasinovic. I have heard a lot of positive things about this club and especially now at the FINAL 8 in Belgrade I admired the great dynamic of this young team, which made me happy.

It is with great anticipation that I accept the challenge of playing in the Greek league, having played in the top leagues of Europe during my career. I look forward to how and how to work with my young teammates, as the combination of my experience with their energy will surely bring great success to my new team.”
