Hadzidiakos: “Win with Ireland, let’s give it all with France”

On how important zero is in defense: “The defensive function is very important. For me it is important that a team starts from scratch. We have good players up front and we can make phases, depending on what phase we are in. If you keep a clean sheet you always have a better chance of winning. Good defenses win championships.”

For the world and the official premiere at OPAP Arena: “I hope the stadium will be full. People should come and help, we need them. We have dreamed since we were little children watching the 2004 National Team and the following ones going to the tournaments. We are trying very hard from our side and I hope people will recognize that and support us.”

On whether the match against France is extra motivation for him, due to the difficulty of the match: “We also said among ourselves that we have to show as a team that we deserve the victory and with France that it is a good test to see what level we are at. It is important to enter as a team and not for everyone to show what they can do. Personally, saying there is one Mbappe, but they have 3-4 other players who can make the difference. It’s a very good test and for me it won’t change anything. The way I go into every game, that’s how I’ll go into this one.”
