Everyone said “it will rain” but it didn’t rain in Alimos, but “it’s raining elsewhere” and the rain prevailed in most of the departure points of the 100 motos that had registered to participate.
The unsettled weather was not able to dampen the joy of the thousands of visitors who came to the 3rd Alimos Classic Motorbike Sunday which took place on Sunday 11th June.
Some of the participants may have been afraid to expose their two-wheeled beauties under the open skies, but most proved that they are… Born To Be Wild and gave thousands of spectators high levels of adrenaline, but also valuable material for some unique and intricate drone footage , by the duo Takis Giannetou and Simos Kokkinos. Even the less rare motos shone even under the gloomy clouds, but within six hours there was not a small percentage of sunshine.
“I have to believe” said Nikos Mastorakis “that even June is no longer a guaranteed summer month. However, we kept all our promises, the guests had a great time and the same will happen to those who see the videos and wonderful photos.”
“We are looking at the future of these events” said the mayor of Alimos, Andreas Kondylis, speaking with the Regional Mayor Giorgos Patoulis who was also present to admire the unique machines, “and I see that in 2024 we will once again emphasize classic cars , but in the special area for selected vehicles, we should also host around 40 truly remarkable bikes.”
