His account of his presence in the Panathinaikos jersey in the season that ended was made by Matt Thomas.
Through a post on Social Media, the American characterized this year as the biggest challenge of his career, while he referred to the uncertainty he felt when he was waiting for an offer from the NBA, to his decision to move to Europe on behalf of the “greens”, but and that he only played in Euroleague games, due to the restrictions on the number of foreigners who can play for each team in the Greek league.
His post in detail:
“Perhaps the most challenging year of my career. Last summer when I didn’t have a team, I decided to wait out NBA free agency in hopes of finding a club early. After 5 months of uncertainty, I decided to look at my options in Europe. I signed for Panathinaikos in January for the rest of the season and I was… thirsty to play again. But I played 10 matches in the Euroleague. Because of the restrictions on foreigners who could play in the Greek league. I didn’t register and my season is over.
I did my best to maintain a level of trust and things worked out as they should. I stayed true to who I am and kept working. I am grateful for the season and what it taught me.
As always I enjoyed the trip”
