Kouros Segoura is the new coach of Kolossos Rhodes

by

It seems that he found his new coach Colossus of Rhodes.

The president of the team, Theodoros Karatzas, gave an interview to EEC radio, where he essentially confirmed that the Rodites bench will include Kuro Segurawhile referring to the team’s intention to play in the BCL but also to the very positive course this year.

In detail what he said on EEC radio:

For this year’s season of Colossus of Rhodes: “In recent years the Colossus has been raised, it is looking up. This is the big change now, we are not entering the league just to save ourselves, but we are looking at what better position we will get. But every year it depends on how lucky you are. We played good basketball last year, we made good plays, but luck was not on our side. But that happens, some games you win by one point and some years you lose them. For example, that basket with Karditsa was the 6th place for us and the stay for Karditsa. A lot happened.”

On the new coach of Kolossos, Kuro Segura: “Whoever we spoke to who have worked with him told us the best about him both as a coach and as a person. Two people from Colossus had gone to Malaga to see the Final-4, they met with him and saw that there are conditions to cooperate with him. We chose to do it and walk together this season. We had eaten… stuck with him. He is both a good coach and a good person, and I like working together like that.”

On whether the team’s philosophy will change: “The coach will give the competitive philosophy. Anything better than what we’re doing is welcome and that’s what we’re waiting to see. We continue to be ambitious and humble. The point is that people come to the stadium and enjoy themselves”.

For the presence of the crowd in the stadium: “The crowd is constantly getting bigger and we are very happy that so many new kids are coming. If you see the stadium of Colossus when a match is over it is full of little kids, young kids, who come onto the pitch and go to the players. We like that a lot.”

For their request to compete in the BCL: “We have asked to play in the BCL, but I think the stadium is a big ‘obstacle’. He wants other positions, which we don’t have time to do until then. I believe we will do it this year.”

For the Colossus of Rhodes: “I believe that Kolossos will become one of the teams with the best working conditions. He has his own stadium, the coaches do their job and no one bothers them, he pays normally, generally everyone leaves very happy. The atmosphere is very healthy.”
