AEK: “The phenomenon of smoke generators in the OPAP Arena is finally coming to an end”

THE PAE AEK would like, first of all, to thank you for your particularly increased response to the availability of this year’s season tickets for OPAP ARENAwhich proves the recognition of the work of Matias Almeidas and our footballers, who led AEK to win the Double after 45 years!

At the same time, however, with this one incredible response, which has even surpassed that of last year – a record, we also receive intense reflection of many season holders in our group as part of their card renewal process.

The reason is repeated use of torches and firecrackers; from some of our fans during the last season.

These phenomena:

a) they are burdensome for people with specific health problems.

b) they are dangerous to the health of small children on the platforms.

c) they often create a competitive problem in our team itself, either in the respiratory system of our footballers, or in the pace of the game due to the breaks they cause, especially after scoring a goal.

d) bring consecutive penalties against PAE AEK from the sports justice.

For all these reasons, primarily healthbut also competitive, PAE AEK is determined to FINISH definitively this – highly problematic – phenomenon of the use of smoke generators and firecrackers, from the very first game of the new season, given the return of our team to European competitions in which the penalty framework is very stricter.

The beginning has already been made with the identification and entry ban in our field of the person responsible for throwing the flare in our team’s fiesta match with Volos.
