Official: Pelios at AEK

In AEK The Stavros Pelios.

The acquisition of the 22-year-old left-back, who is coming off an excellent season in his shirt PAS Ioannina the Union announced.

The contract signed by the Greek ace binds the two sides until the summer of 2027.

He is a product of PAS Ioannina’s academies, while he belongs to their first team since 2019, while the 2021-22 season was a parenthesis, as he played for Iraklis on loan.

This year he made 24 appearances with Epirotes, which he combined with 2 assists.

The announcement

PAE AEK announces the acquisition of football player Stavros Pelios from PAS Ioannina. The 22-year-old winger has signed a contract with our team until the summer of 2027.

Stavros Pelios was born on December 10, 2000, in Rhodes. At the age of 13, he joined the “Elpides Ioannina” Academy and three years later became a member of the infrastructure departments of PAS Ioannina, with whom he signed his first professional contract in January 2019.

In October of the same year he made his debut, in the Cup match against Aspropyrgos Union and two months later he played for the first time in Super League 2, in the game against AE Karaiskakis. He made his debut in the Super League on January 31, 2021, in the home game against Atromitos.

In August 2021, he was loaned to Heracles, with whom he made 30 Super League 2 appearances (2 goals and 1 assist) in the 2021–22 season, leaving an excellent impression. In the 2022-23 season, he returned to PAS Ioannina and managed to earn a starting jersey. In total he recorded 24 appearances (all 90 minutes), having 2 assists.
