A new warning of dangerous phenomena and floods have been issued by US authorities in Texas. The dead from the first wave of bad weather already amount to 27, including nine children, while another 27 girls, most under 12 years, are missing from the camp they had abolished.

The areas affected by the floods look like a bombed landscape. The tragedy, however, seems to have not come to an end. Residents received an urgent message to “evacuate”, as new flooding is expected in the near future.

OR National Meteorological Service (NWS) It issued a state of emergency for sudden floods in Comal County in South Central Texas, noting that a thunderstorm that is moving very slowly causes high rainfall in its passage, reinforcing the water -overlapped soils. NWS stresses that residents of these areas must “evacuate”, while residents in neighboring areas must search for points with higher altitude in order to avoid the risk of being trapped.

“This is a particularly dangerous situation,” the NWS website said. He suggests that the locations that will be most affected by the sudden floods are River Road, near Lake Canyon.

Under 12 years of missing girls

According to reports of US television networks, the waters in the areas they flooded have mostly retreated. Efforts to identify at least 27 children who are missing are continuing, but the news of new impending floods are scarce the chances of being alive.

According to officials in the Texas area, the most missing girls are less than 12 years old. As they said on local radio, the number of missing children is confirmed to be 27, at least with any information available to them. It is noted, however, that missing people are more, at this stage, but businesses have focused on the search for girls from camp. According to US officials, at the flood site, there were a large number of citizens who celebrated July 4, on the day of US independence, with fireworks and other festivities.

“We don’t know about these people,” the official points out, adding that his teams “expect the number of those who have been recovered will certainly be higher.”

Over 15,000 -free -free buildings

At the same time, it was announced that 15,070 buildings are without electricity in the state of Texas. Of these, 625 are in County Kerr, where the floods struck very strongly. Another 5,118 buildings are in the Country County, where the National Weather Service issued a new emergency for sudden floods in the coming hours.
