So far it was against him Stefanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios. The two tennis players found each other, solving a misunderstanding through social media. It all started with Stefanos being triggered by some comments and with a long post by him explaining that his statements had been paraphrased.
“I hope this message finds you well. Today, I want to address a topic that weighs heavily on my heart – an unfortunate misunderstanding that has distorted the image of my intentions. It has come to my attention that some people have misconstrued my comments about Nick Kyrgios, calling him uneducated and accusing him of bringing a basketball mentality to tennis, implying racism where none exists. Let me take this opportunity to provide clarity and correct any misunderstandings that may have arisen.
First, I want to emphasize that I hold no prejudice against anyone based on their background, ethnicity or interests. I am deeply sorry if my words were misinterpreted or caused offense as that was never my intention. It is true that I love basketball and have been a devoted fan of it for years. The excitement, skill and competitiveness of the sport has always excited me.
However, my admiration for basketball should not be misconstrued as a rejection or disparagement of other sports, including tennis. Every sport has its own unique beauty and I have tremendous respect for the dedication and talent shown by athletes in various sports, including tennis.
My previous comments about Nick Kyrgios were not intended to denigrate his intelligence or abilities. Rather, I just intended to express my opinion on certain aspects of his game, drawing comparisons to the passion and intensity often associated with basketball. It was an attempt to highlight the dynamic and captivating nature of his approach to the game, rather than a criticism of his character or abilities.”wrote Tsitsipas.
Tsitsipas on Kyrgios/Basketball comment:
“My remarks regarding Nick were not meant to undermine his intelligence or abilities”
“I deeply regret any hurt or offense my words may have caused”
“Moving forward, I commit to being more mindful of my words & the impact they may have” pic.twitter.com/Efgwo0yozv

This effort of his Stefanou Tsitsipas it did not fall into a vacuum. THE Nick Kyrgios responded to that post with one of his own in which he concluded that all is well between them.
“It was a very intense battle. Sometimes as players we go into these press conferences without digesting the match…. We had some crazy battles and I know deep down you like my tennis. Everything is fine between us“, concluded.
