Maladenis is the new coach of Xanthi

Originally from Pigadia, he became a football man from a very young age in AOX while his name was written in golden letters in the history of the club as on 7/6/1992 with his own goal he kept Thracians in A! National Category after winning 1-2 against Athinaikos in Byron. In total, the counter recorded 85 appearances and five goals, so the transfer to AEK was not long in coming. For nine seasons she wore her jersey 198 times and scored 42 goals. PAOK followed with 50 appearances and nine goals, while he played in the “west” of his career in teams such as Panthrakikos and Levadeiakos.

As a coach, he has worked for the teams of Apollo Xanthi, with whom he won second place in A this year! EPS while he was a technician at AE Xanthi and Kessani Erasmiou. As an academy coach this season, he won the championship in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace with the K-14 of PAOK Komotini while he worked in the K-13 of AOX and Elpides of Xanthi while also participating in the scouting department of AEK.

Anestis Alexoudis takes over as assistant coach. Born in 1995 in Xanthi, he started taking his first steps as a football player in the APOX academies. In 2015, at the age of just 19, he got a degree by completing the UEFA school as a technician and took over as the first coach of the women’s football team “Queens of Thrace”. He remained at the club until 2022 as he also took over their infrastructure. The most important moment in his career was the promotion with the Queens to A! National team in the 2019-2020 season.
