“End of an era” for him Jorge Dias in Panaitolikos!
Agrinio’s team announced that the experienced Uruguayan midfielder is leaving the team as a free agent, after six years on her roster!
The 34-year-old joined Panaitolikos in the summer 2017when he left Zaragoza, while he has since held 158 appearanceswearing the chieftain’s armband in many of them and being now the club’s most capped footballer in the first division!
In fact, as announced by the Agrinio PAE, will retire the number 11 shirt for the 2023-24 seasonthus wanting to honor his very great contribution to the club.

“PAE Panaitolikos announces that Jorge Dias is leaving our team after six years in which he gave his best.
He was acquired in July 2017 and since then he has played in 158 Super League matches, 2 play-off matches and 11 Greek Cup matches. He scored 10 goals and provided 12 assists.
He was the captain of the team for the last five years, he stood out for his passion, competitiveness and ethos. He entered the pantheon of the great footballers of Panaitolikos, as he is the first with a difference in participations in the big division.
Honoring his offer, our team decided to retire for the 2023-2024 season the jersey with the number 11 that Jorge Diaz wore for these six years.
Jorge, thank you for what you have done for our team. You will always be a special member of the Panaitolikos family with whom you made history!”.
