“The important thing is that the team wins». A phrase that could also be considered a cliché when it comes to the statements of the players after the games, a motto that is probably not embraced by Cristiano Ronaldo.
At least this is what his five-year teammate at Real Madrid– Gareth Bale. And the truth is that it is not surprising based on the earlier life of the Portuguese legend.
The veteran, since last January, Welsh stood on the excessive zeal shown by Ronaldo in the field of scoring. In particular, he explained that the 38-year-old ace, neither more nor less, was bewildered after the games if he had not scored a goal, even if the “Queen” had scored a five-pointer! Of course, he also focused on good elements of his character.
“He was really good. He had his moments. For example, if we had won 5-0 and he hadn’t scored he would have gone into the dressing room and thrown his shoes in anger. It’s like your team won the Ryder Cup but you didn’t get a point so you’re mad. But he was a nice guy, we didn’t have any problems. A lot of people could be scared of how it is, but there’s no reason to be“, noted the 33-year-old Welshman in an interview.
