The qualification to the 3rd round of Wimbledon with a big upset over Andy Murray was taken by Stefanos Tsitsipaswho in his statements after his victory focused on the difficulties he faced, while also praising the great British tennis player!

In detail what he said:

“It’s never easy against Andy. It was a tough match, I’m impressed. He’s been on the tour for so many years, he’s had two serious surgeries and despite all that he continues to play at a high level. I truly wish him the best for the future.”.

“I was stressed, I had to get over it. It’s hard to grow up watching him play on that court. Like I said I was horrified when he got his first title here. It was a hurdle I had to overcome. When you grow up and watch him compete here, that was an inspiration to me. He is one of the top four tennis players along with Novak, Roger and Rafa. Those four defined the game and are the reason I’m here today and the player I am today.”.

On whether the break helped him: “I was not helped by the interruption. When you’re a set behind you have to be careful. He can return a lot of balls, I had to work hard to get the win. Legs are tight now made me run hard. It was something difficult”.
