Vassilis Christidis continues in Karditsa

Vassilis Christidis will continue to compete in the Basket League championship, but as a Karditsa player, who was announced by the Thessalian team.

Last season, the 25-year-old forward was a resident of Thessaloniki, at the beginning of the season he played for PAOK and ended his year as a player for Aris.

A.S. Karditsas announces the addition of Vassilis Christidis to our team’s roster.

The athlete from Thessaloniki brings size and talent to our team, strengthening the positions near the basket.

At 25 years old (born July 10, 1998) with a height of 2.08 m, Vassilis Christidis plays as a center and power forward. He started playing basketball in Mantoulidis, with which he won the children’s championship in 2014, with him emerging as the MVP of the competition’s finals. He joined the team of Aris Thessaloniki, where he made his A1 debut at the age of 18 in the 2016-17 season. He played in the Aris jersey for a total of three seasons (2016-2019), while in 2019 he signed for Olympiacos, with whom he played for two seasons in the A2 National Team (2019-2021), until returning to the Basket League in 2021. In the 2021 season -22 started at Olympiakos and then moved to Peristeri, with whose jersey he finished the season. Last year, he signed for PAOK, playing in 8 league and 7 BCL games, while in the winter transfer window, he returned to Aris Thessaloniki for the rest of the 2022-23 season. In total in his career so far, he has 85 appearances in the Basket League, with 233 points and 170 rebounds. In the collective European competitions, he has played in 28 matches of the BCL and the Europe Cup.

His presence is also important in the National teams, as he has worn the shirt of almost all the National Teams. Leader of the Youth National Team in 2015, he won the gold medal at the Pan-European Championship, while two years later he repeated this great success, this time with the Young Men’s National Team, winning yet another gold medal at the corresponding European Championship.
