“The moment we never wanted to live”: Lazio bid farewell to Savic with “Summertime Sadness”

by

He was… a 20-year-old kid when he went to Lazio. A 28-year-old “man” leaves for other states! Signs of the times, one would say, since it is a common phenomenon this summer that several footballers leave a few big European clubs for the huge sums offered to them by the Saudis.

THE Sergei Milinkovich-Savictherefore, officially left the Lazio after a… lifetime. And the Romans wanted to say goodbye to him with a touching video, which plays the well-known song “Summertime Sadness” which in plain Greek translates as “summertimes sadness”.

In the video, the Serbian midfielder says goodbye to her Lazio after 341 appearances with 69 goals and 59 assists. With some of his collars, contained within the “farewell” of the “eagles”.

Now, o Milinkovic-Savic will quintuple his salary (s. 25 million euros per year), while the “Latsiali” will put in their coffers an amount of more than 40 million euros.

“The moment we never wanted to live. Thanks for all the excitement. Your Lazio”was the team’s equally touching caption.
