In the end… Tedoglou always flies: World champion with 8.52m!

by

Miltos Tedoglou did it again in the final and won the gold medal at the World Championships in Budapest!

The Greek champion needed a huge leap to overcome him Wayne Pinnock and he did it in an impressive way in his last attempt, “traveling” to 8.52m! That was it his first gold medal in the World Championship!

Thus, he left the Jamaican in second place with 8.50m, while Tajai Gale, also from the Caribbean country, completed the podium with 8.27m.

Tedoglou got off to an impressive start, making an incredible leap at 8.50m, with Pinnock reaching 8.40m. In the second, however, the Jamaican did as well 8.50 m and combined with the invalid jump of the Greek champion, he passed first, as he had a better second jump.

Tedoglou’s third jump held him for one point in second place as he reached the 8.39m, while Pinnock gave up his attempt in… the middle with 6.39m.

The jump of the 25-year-old Greek was invalid in the fourth attempt, while in the fifth he reached 8.30am, so he is looking for a great jump in the final to be the one to take the gold!

Which he managed to make come true. Having huge faith in himself and the support of the public, Tedoglou flew to 8.52m and in conjunction with 8.38m of the Jamaican, conquered it gold metal, which was also his first in a World Championship!
