The “space” Atlético scored seven goals and came close to the top

by

Atlético Madrid is still scoring goals in Vagecas… The “Rojiblancos” swept Rayo Vagecano 7-0(!) in the theoretical mini-derby of Madrid and, with two wins and a draw, came close to -2 from the top and the “eternal” compatriot, Real, remaining firmly in the “hunt” for the “queen” together with Barcelona and leaving the home team now -3 from first place.

Diego Simeone’s men made it 0-3 in the first half with goals from Griezmann in the 2nd minute, Depay in the 16th minute and Molina in the 26th minute. They did not “slow down” in the second half either, they missed many chances and managed to score another four goals with Morata in the 73′ and 84′, Correa in the 79′ and Llorente in the 86′.

First win for Getafe, who beat Alaves 1-0 at the “Alfonso Perez” and moved one point ahead of them in the standings.
