For his problematic collaboration with Odent Katas at Maccabi Tel Aviv last season he spoke in an interview in Israel o Darun Hilliard. The American guard left for Karsigiaka and blasted the former coach of Panathinaikos.

It was a difficult situation for me. I didn’t have the chance to show my worth at Maccabi. I didn’t go there with the intention of being the leader of the team and I would have been happy if I had a specific role. But the problem is that I had no role, I was completely out of the team. I felt unwantedHilliard pointed out.

Mr. Blatt was the most important figure in the group and he was always clear with me. The only problem was the coach, who was unfair to me throughout the season. The way he treated me proves that the matter was personal and not professional. Everyone knows what a player I am, but when you’re treated like you’re not even a good player and you’re not used, you realize that behavior is not professional“, he added.

I don’t hate Katas or think he’s a bad person, but it’s obvious he didn’t like me at all. He had told me he didn’t trust me and I don’t know why. You should ask him. Off the field he is a nice and quiet person, just like me, but on the field we never connected and that caused a problem in our relationship and cooperation“, concluded.
