The Flame for the 4th Winter Youth Olympic Games will be lit at the Panathenaic Stadium

Her Tuesday, October 3 at 12:00 at Panathinaikos Stadiumwill be the Olympic Flame Touching and Handover Ceremony for the IV Youth Olympic Winter Games “Gangwon 2024” to be held in Gangwon, South Korea from January 19 to February 1, 2024.

The Flame will be lit in the traditional way Prothieria Xanthi Georgiou from the rays of the sun and after the end of the symbolic Torch Relay inside the Stadium, the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee and member of the IOC, Spyros Kapralos will hand it over to the “Gangwon 2024” Organizing Committee.

The impressive and highly symbolic ceremony will be covered live by the Olympic Channel, while official and select guests will attend the iconic Stadium to watch it up close.

The artistic direction of the ceremony is choreographer Artemis Ignatiouunder the music composed Dimitris Papadimitriou. The costumes of the Priests were created by the famous designer Eleni Kyriakou.
