A technology, which first appeared in the recent World Cup in Qatar and in fact, with particular success, while it is already being used in Italy’s first division, Serie A.
The second proposition of the “bicep of the North” has to do with Goal-Line Technology, a system which immediately notifies the respective referee of whether or not the ball has crossed the goal line.
The Super League announcement:
During today’s meeting of the Super League Board of Directors, the following were decided, among others:
1/ A discussion was held on the matters of arbitration and the staffing of the KED, while during the meeting, the body was informed about the convocation of the Professional Football Committee on Tuesday, October 10 at 10:00. In this context, the Board of Directors pointed out the need to send the resumes of the Foreign candidates for three new members of the KED to the members of the E.E.P. before next Tuesday’s meeting so that there is sufficient time for information and making the relevant decisions.
2/ It was unanimously decided to investigate the cost of implementing the “Goal-Line Technology” system and semi-automatic offside technology in Super League matches.
3/ The panel of Super League Match Observers was unanimously approved.
