Five-star Panathinaikos against Atromitos, going to Faliro!

by

THE Panathinaikos prevailed from… halftime of Fearless with the final 5-0 to confirm the big roster of, at “Apostolos Nikolaidis”, in a postponed match within the framework of the 1st matchday of the Stoiximan Super League.

The “clover” had them Djuricic and Palasios on a big dayas the former opened the scoring just at 3′while serving the second game to his teammate at 33′. To follow the penalty won by the second in 45′even if VAR intervention was needed and which he converted into a goal Sporar!

With the western suburbs team left with ten players because of it Acevedo’s dismissal with a straight red in this particular phase and not being able to “follow”, while conceding two more goals, from Djuricic in 59′ and from him Geremegev which had been changed, in the second minute of extra time.

Thus, Panathinaikos – who also finished with ten after being sent off in the 86th Zeke who made his debut after six years – rose to second place in the standings, with 16 points and at -3 from the pioneer Olympiakoswhich he faces after the restart in Faliro, on October 22.

While the Intrepid remained winless for seventh game in the league, being 12th with just three points and will be hosted by PAOK in Toumba.

In the minds of the coaches:

THE Panathinaikos lined up in formation 4-2-3-1, Lodingin in goal and Vaiannidis, Senkefeld, Jedvai and Mladenovic four at the back. Ruben and Vilena were the “cutters”, with Djuricic in front of them, while Palacios and Verbic fought on the “wings” and Sporar at the top of the attack.

THE Fearless on the other hand it also “went down” with a system 4-2-3-1 and Tsintotas under the goalposts. Keshrida, Tzavellas, Acevedo and De Bok formed the four in defense and Gonzalez-Erlingmark the two midfielders in the axis. With Jubitana and Valencia at the two ends of the attack and Camara behind Vergo, who was the only forward.

The match:

Panathinaikos was lucky to take the lead with… a goal from the locker room, as thanks to an amazing ball from Ruben to the left of the area for Mladenovic, he made a “well-weighted” cross and the upcoming Djuricic with a header from the height of the penalty he opened the scoring just after 3′!

The “greens” continued to control the tempo and, playing mainly from their right side, tried to find the empty spaces to reach a second goal.

However, it was Atromitos who had the next good moment, in the 11th minute. With Vergo stealing from outside the area and shooting diagonally, to send the ball just wide of Lodingin’s left-hand post…

The scene remained the same afterwards, as Panathinaikos kept the reins but had difficulty becoming a threat, losing many balls. At the time when the team from the western suburbs was looking for its moment in some counterattack, as in the 23′ with Jubitana.

Finally, the hosts found the second goal they were looking for just after the half-hour mark thanks to the class of Djuricic, who stole from Keshrida, leave… a statue of Tzavellapass to Palasios at the right time and him with a diagonal volley from a position inside the right he made it 2-0!

Now having psychology on their side, they created two more phases for goals, within a minute, with Verbic, but Tsintotas said “no” to him in both.

In order for Palasios to be overthrown by Acevedo, in the 45th minute, which the referee Manouhos did not see at first, but it took the intervention of VAR Diamantopoulos.

The expulsion of the Argentinian defender of the guests with straight red cardfor elbowing his compatriot, as well as his well-timed execution Sporarin order to “write” 3-0, in the first minute of stoppage time of the first part.

The second half started with Panathinaikos again in the driver’s seat, determined to score more goals, as was evident in the morning. As in the 48th minute, from another good cross by Mladenovic at the second post, Palasios took the header, only to be blocked in the closed corner by Tsintotas with overpowering…

Zeka’s entry into the game brought excitement to the stands and… a fourth goal on the pitch of Leoforos, upon completion of one hour of play. When from a wrong turn by Imrekov, Sporar stole, avoided Chitota and passed to Djuricic who with a double effort scored again, for 4-0!

Then, Jovanovic’s team… stepped up, while there were changes on both sides and the Peristeriotes’ first notable phase of the second half, in the 71st minute. With Andrzejski’s frontal attack he shot from the height of the area, sending the ball inches wide.

Zeka was sent off with straight red card in 86′, for marking Keshridas, bursting into tears, while the last… emotion included another goal from Panathinaikos. As from Kotsira’s… curled cross for Palasios and his deflected header, the ball went over Tsintotas, only for Geremegev to come almost on the line and set up the final result, with the stands demanding… victory over Olympiakos!

MVP: In… points, Filip Djuricic wins the title by Sebastian Palacios. With the Serb having scored two goals, with the fast and always “useful” in such 1-0 matches, but also giving an assist to his Argentinian teammate! At the same time, he had a few more quality moves, examples of his undeniable class, but also active participation in his team’s game.

the “whistle”: Manouhos succeeded and made… blunders in a 5-0 game. With the referee from Argolis not seeing the penalty on Palasios but being “saved” by Diamantopoulos. While he also “discovered” a foul on Djuricic in Kamara, which this time he could not take back according to regulation, while Sporar scored and his goal was wrongly not counted! The dismissal of Zeka, on the contrary, is correct.

The compositions of the two teams:
