Sasha Vezenkov was the standout in the Kings’ first NBA preseason game, and after the loss (112-99) from the Raptors in Vancouver, made his first statements.
“It’s different playing it than watching it on TV. It was our first NBA preseason game, we’re trying to bond as a team and play better. Certainly the result was not the best, but we have to continue the work to be ready for the first game of the regular season” said the rookie forward from Sacramento.
Regarding the differences with the Euroleague, he answered: “It’s a different way of playing. The pace is different and faster, but each game (s.s. means event) has its own beauty».
Concerning his own developmentemphasized: “I work every day, I have no other choice and I try to get better. I don’t expect from day one to be at my best. I have to continue the work and be able to help my team».
For how he felt on his first baskethe said: “It was nice, but like I said, my goal is to help my team and I hope every game I get better».
