“KAE ARIS Midea announces the signing of Kris Bankston for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
Kris Bankston was born on June 11, 1999 and with a height of 2.05m. He competes in the center position. The American athlete will fill the gap left by the serious injury of Manny Bates.
New ARIS transfer Midea began his college career at Little Rock University in 2017. He transferred to Norfolk State in 2021. In the 2021-22 season, he averaged 11.03 points on 71.1% 2-point shooting, 6.77 rebounds and 1.19 blocks in 27.4 minutes per game (31 appearances, all as a starter) with the Spartans.
In 2022-23, his final year in the NCAA, Bankston had his most productive season. He had 14.22 points, 71.1% on 2-pointers, 7.12 rebounds and 1.47 steals, in 31 games (29 as a starter).
Last summer, the 24-year-old center took part in the Las Vegas Summer League with the Minnesota Timberwolves jersey, in four games. He then signed a contract with Hapoel Be’er Sheva BC, from which he left due to the war in Israel».
