To the District Attorney Konstantinos Spyropoulos a full-scale investigation was commissioned into corruption phenomena in Greek football, which was ordered on the occasion of public statements by the president of PAE Panathinaikos Yannis Alafouzou.

The investigation was ordered by the deputy prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Georgios Oikonomou, who has the responsibility of supervising the sports gift.
