Schwab: “Now… the two of us with Eintracht – Satisfied with our progress”

by

THE PAOK remained in the draw (2-2) with Aberdeenand now he will play with her Eintracht in Frankfurt (11/30, 22:00), in the match that will probably decide the first place, and by extension the direct qualification to the “16” of the Conference League.

O Stefan Schwab spoke to PAOK TV about these two matches, stressing that in the “double-header of the north” they are satisfied with the team’s progress, and are now aiming for the first place.

In detail what he said:

For PAOK’s qualification, but the victory that did not come: “Yes, the team is disappointed with today’s result. We wanted to win the game, we tried and did everything we could but as you said we qualified and stay in the competition. We are still first in the group and unbeaten along with the qualifiers, so in general we are satisfied with our progress, but we are not satisfied with the result”.

For the final with Eintracht and what is needed for first place: “There are only two of us left now, they are a good and strong team and we will play at their home. They lost the game in Toumba, so we will have to give 110% to get a good result there, but now we have to focus on the next few games to boost our confidence and be ready for this crucial game that will decide the first class. At the moment we have qualified and the goal now is to stay in first place”.

On the fact that he played well with Aberdeen and was what PAOK lacked: “I think we weren’t as efficient as we should have been in attack, we had enough chances and we could have scored more than two goals. In defense we conceded two goals from a total of two shots they made in the game. They were very effective against us and I think that is the reason why the game ended 2-2”.
