THE AEK Betsson welcomes Kolossos on Monday (17:15) for the 6th matchday of the Stoiximan Basket League and the Joan Platha he calls on his players to take the game seriously and not to get carried away by recent victories.
“We are coming off another important win in Europe, but usually some wins and generally some good times don’t always help you. I would even say that many times they put you to sleep. The match against Colossus, we should treat it as if it is the last league match“, said the Spanish technician.
“What we should do is remember the good times of our opponent. The Colossus has won the Dove. He was very competitive with Mars. Overall, he has performed very well. And he also brought a player (Gaudlock), who put up 22 points in his first game. And of course, let’s remember (also) our own bad moments in the Championship. The good thing defeats do is force you to improve some of your weaknesses. We should not, however, add more pressure to ourselves. These defeats belong to the past. What we need to add to our game are the improvement moves due to some weaknesses that we had shown in those matches“, he added.
With Efiondou Campengele available, it is not yet known which of AEK’s seven foreigners will be left out of the starting six for tomorrow’s game.
