The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) issued today 14/11 the evaluation tables of the week No46. They are the first to come out after the completion of Greek participation in three consecutive World Table Tennis tournaments at the beginning of November. Malamatenia Papadimitriou participated in the WTT Feeder men-women of Slovenia and the WTT Youth Contender of Hungary. Stathis Manolopoulos and Marios Katsaprakakis also competed in two opens, in the Youth Contenders of Hungary and Slovakia. Katerina Toliou had a test at the Slovenian Feeder, while the young Giannis Koutras, Giannis Anastasiadis, Giannis Kioseloglou and Dimitris-Marios Alexandridis were present at the Hungarian Youth Contender. No distinction was recorded, however points came, which brought either new entries for Greece in the world ranking, or notable movements.
In the women’s table, the first Greek, Toliou, climbed four places in the last two weeks. In the Otocek tournament he was eliminated in the round of “64” and in the ranking he was at number 220 last week and today he “won” another place (219). Papadimitriou had a significant rise, although she did not pass the qualifying procedure at the Slovenian Open. With plus 11 points, she moved the previous week to No. 422 (26 places higher), the current one to 389 (another 33 places) and is again the second Greek woman in the ranking.
In the ITTF Table Tennis Youth Ranking we will mention the positions of the Greeks, in the age categories, in which they had their evaluated matches.
In the Under 19 boys, Manolopoulos, Katsaprakakis and Anastasiadis are making their debuts. Manolopoulos, with one qualification on the main board, in the Hungarian Youth Contender, had a first good harvest. With 95 points he went to number 638 in the world.
Katsaprakakis with 22 points, also from two opens, is at No. 1083, while Anastasiadis, who competed in Sobateli, at 1,455 with 9 points. Coutra, who has been consistently on the charts, has dropped to number 1469 with just 9 points, but that’s because he just missed his points from the corresponding tournament in Italy in November 2022.
In the Under 19 girls, Papadimitriou rose to number 169 in the world ranking. By entering the last 16 of the Hungarian tournament, he secured 95 points and rose 29 places (with 505 points in total).
In the Under 17 boys, Katsaprakakis was at No 864, Kioseloglou at No 919, Anastasiadis at No 1,186 and Koutra at 1,200.
In the Under 15 boys, Kioseloglou went to No 597. In this category, our 13-year-old international had qualified in Sobateli in the 1st round of singles and from the tournament in general he got 18 points. By the way, in Under 19 it moved today to No 1147 with an increase of 442 places.
At the younger ages, Alexandridis got 5 points from the Hungarian tournament for his entry into the tables. In the Under 11 category it appears at number 188 and in the Under 13 category at No 547.
