Having impressed for Ajax from 2016 to 2020, the Hakim Ziges transferred to Chelsea for 40 million euros, but he never managed to show the competitive face he was used to in the Londoners.

In fact, last summer came the final break in his relationship with Chelsea, after he openly expressed his desire to leave, even though he has contract until 2025. Finally, the solution was given by Galatasaraiwhich added him to its roster as borrowedgiving him the opportunity to compete as a starter again.

A few months after his move to Constantinople, o Zigesgave an interview to Dutch Media, talking about his… episodic presence in London, explaining the reasons that led to his departure from Chelsea.

“We could talk for a long time about Chelsea… The bottom line is that things didn’t turn out as we hoped. It was a period full of coaching changes, complaints about management and a transfer of mine to Paris Saint-Germain, which was ultimately canceled at the last minute.”the Moroccan midfielder initially reported, before going on to say:

“There were three first-class footballers on the roster. At some point, our patience ran out. Having 40 players on your roster is just too much and when you do that it’s like you’re looking for trouble.”.
