The sports judge passed the ball regarding the outcome of yesterday’s (08/12) men’s volleyball derby and which of Olympiakos and Panathinaikos will be the winner.
As, as ESAP made known through an announcement, after the end of today’s extraordinary meeting of the Bureau, anything concerning the specific race will be immediately referred to the competent jurisdictional body of the organizing Authority.
The relevant announcement in detail:
“After what happened in yesterday’s match for the “Nikos Samaras” League Cup between Olympiakos S.F.P. and of Panathinaikos A.O. at the Melina Mercouri Renti gym, the ESAP Championship Committee held an extraordinary meeting.
First of all, ESAP expresses its sadness and pain for the serious injury of the EL.AS police officer. and wholeheartedly wishes for his recovery, unequivocally condemning perversions that have nothing to do with the sport of volleyball.
It was decided that all the documents related to the specific match should be immediately referred to the competent judicial body (sports judge) of ESAP, which will decide the fate of the match.
We are at the disposal of the authorities in the direction of eliminating any phenomenon of blind violence that uses Greek sports as a vehicle and especially the noble sport of volleyball”.
