Internal team competitions for the preparation of the internationals at SEF

Internal training matches, as well as celebratory ones, will take place tomorrow 29 and the day after 30/12 in the federal hall of the Peace and Friendship Stadium for the members of our national men’s and women’s teams. Competition readiness tests are of course common, such periods by the federal technicians, but now the special element is that they will have innovations and will be broadcast on the internet! In particular, the matches will be team-based, the teams will have a mixed composition of men and women and a special system will be applied for the first time. In addition, the games will be videotaped for the gre78 channel on YouTube, in another offer of the KOUSgroup group, the sponsor of E.F.O.E.P.A. in the transmission part. The matches will take place behind closed doors.

SEF coaches Kostas Vatsaklis and Giorgos Karytsas are expected to form four teams. Each team will consist of 2 men and 1 woman. Tomorrow Friday the two semi-finals will take place and the winning teams will face each other in Saturday’s final.

There will be five individual matches in total (all best of five sets), so the final score of each group match can be anywhere from 3-2 to 5-0.

– At the beginning there will be a mixed double

– Then it will become single men among the athletes, who were not used earlier in the double mixed

– The 3rd match will have the women’s singles

– The 4th men’s doubles

– In the 5th and last match, the two athletes who had also competed in the mixed doubles will compete

Innovation also, that in the matches, which will reach the 5th set, the so-called “sudden death” will be applied, i.e. the victory will be taken by the athlete/three, or the couple, who will be the first to complete the 6 points and not the classic 11.
