West Ham withstand Brighton hammering – Milner makes history

by

No score and winner completed the West HamBrightona match that brought down the curtain on the 20th matchday of the Premier League.

A “derby” for European tickets, with the hosts remaining 6th and to +3 from the “seagulls”, who in turn caught Manchester United with 31 points.

Of course, the “hammers” should be mostly pleased. Not only because of their standings (even if their three-game winning streak came to an end) but mainly because their opponents were clearly more threatening.

In particular, after a balanced first half that had few phases, Roberto De Gerbi’s team hit the gas in the second, creating one chance after another. Without, however, managing to find a net, with 0-0 remaining until the finale.

Basic for another game with West Ham o Dinos Mavropanos.

In a match in which wrote history The James Milner. Brighton’s experienced midfielder has arrived 632 entries in the Premier League and thus caught on 2nd place of the relevant list Ryan Giggs. Now, he is “targeting” Gareth Barry (653 comps.), with the 38-year-old ace’s contract (ending on Thursday 4/1) expiring next summer, having of course an option for another season.
