Zaravinas: “We need more work for such a level”

Giorgos Zaravinas emphasized that with the defeat by the Czech Republic a circle closes for the representative group, he thanked the Greeks who followed the team in Munich for the European Championship, he praised the Czech defense and considers participation in the competition a criterion and an opportunity for useful conclusions can be drawn.

In detail: “I first want to thank all the children for this effort.

Essentially, it closes a first circle since we started working together, managing to reach a big tournament.

Secondly, I want to thank all the people who traveled here to support the National team, who since the beginning of this effort have been increasing in number and have been with us in joys and sorrows.

On the competitive side, as a conclusion after the three games, it is clear that we need a lot more work to be able to face teams of this level. Today, we played against a team that, especially in the defensive part, was very strong, making it difficult even for much better teams than us.

We have to analyze the games as a team, but also individually for what each one of us can do and what he did right. The matches of this tournament, which are of the highest level and where we want to be, must be the criterion for our next moves, be our guide and draw useful conclusions”.
