“Athens Kallithea FC announces the acquisition of Greco-Swedish midfielder Christos Gravius ​​on a free transfer.

Gravius, 26, is a former international with Sweden’s minor national teams who started his career at Swedish giants AIK and most recently captained Degerfors in Sweden’s top division.

Born in Solna, a municipality in Sweden, Gravius ​​emerged from AIK’s academy and made his debut for the club’s first team at the age of 17 in a league match against GIF Sundsvall in July 2015. In the 2016 season, Gravius ​​scored a total of 15 appearances in all competitions, including nine league appearances and two UEFA Europa League qualifying appearances.

Gravius ​​spent the next three seasons on loan, first at Jonkopings in the top division and the next two seasons at Degerfors in the second division, where he developed into a central pillar. In the 2020 season, Gravius ​​made a permanent move to Degerfors, immediately helping the team win promotion and return to the top flight for the first time in 24 years.

Gravius ​​made 77 total appearances (all as a starter) for Degerfors in Sweden’s top flight in the 2021, 2022, and 2023 seasons until his contract expired last month.

As an international, Gravius ​​represented Sweden with the U17, U18, and U19 national teams.
