Lawyer Celso Wanzo, 58, died on Saturday (12) in São José do Rio Preto (443 km from São Paulo), according to his family, after being attacked during an argument with the manager of the condominium where he lived, in the Jardim neighborhood. Pine trees.
According to Wanzo’s wife, architect Giani Senefonte, they were at home with friends watching Palmeiras play in the Club World Cup final when they heard cursing coming from the sidewalk.
Also according to Senefonte, the lawyer saw that he was the condominium manager and went down with a friend. As soon as he reached the sidewalk, the aggressor would have punched the lawyer, who would have fallen to the ground unconscious.
According to the incident report, the victim was rescued at the Base Hospital, but could not resist and died.
The lawyer was wearing the Palmeiras shirt at the time of the crime, but, according to the woman, the fight was not over football. “It has nothing to do with Palmeiras. I don’t know where this information came from. I was in the hospital when the police report was made”, she says about the alleged origin of the information.
The reason for the discussion was not informed by the architect.
The name of the attacker was not released by the Public Security Department. What is known is that the man is 44 years old, was arrested, but later released after posting a R$5,000 bail.
The case will be investigated by the 5th DP of São José do Rio Preto.
Also on Saturday (12), motorcycle courier Dante Luiz Oliveira, 40, was shot in the chest after a clash between fans in front of Allianz Parque, in Pompeia, west of São Paulo, where dozens of fans were watching the match.
