* As of Tuesday, February 13, the provisions concerning the restructuring of the responsibilities and the operating framework of the Permanent Committee for Combating Violence (DEAB) come into force, making it more flexible, functional and efficient.

* As of Tuesday, February 13, the provisions of the administrative measures and penalties that will be imposed by the DEAB with immediate effect and subject to limited competence, when it comes to the most frequently encountered fan violence behaviors such as (indicatively) throwing flammable and generally dangerous objects inside of the competition venues, spectators entering them, posting banners or other inscriptions of a political, religious or ideological nature, with abusive, racist or sexist content, etc.

Provisions that respond to modern requirements and aim to effectively deal with the phenomena of hooliganism.

This is a legislative intervention that – for the first time – describes with absolute clarity the procedures for sanctions and penalties without loopholes and above all with a horizontal requirement for all involved, defining the imposition of penalties with limited jurisdiction, in order to further strengthen the institutional framework for dealing with “fan violence”.
