PAOK announced Fang

Duane Fang became a PAOK volleyball player on Thursday. The “two-headed” amateur announced the acquisition of the 30-year-old international Chinese winger until the end of this season, so that the women’s volleyball team can strengthen the ends of the attack and catch up with the playoffs.

The two sides had agreed days ago, with Fang previously playing for her hometown Liaoning Tengda.

The athlete arrived in Thessaloniki in the afternoon of the same day to join the training sessions of Thanos Terzis.

In detail, the announcement:

“PAOK and the women’s volleyball department announce the start of cooperation with the athlete, Duane Fang, for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season.

Born in China on 12/26/1994, Duan Fang plays as a winger and is 188cm tall.

She made her first steps in volleyball in the 2014-15 season from Liaoning Tengda, playing in the Chinese league.

He stayed at Liaoning Tengda for nine competitive seasons, playing there until this season, recording many appearances and honors in one of the world’s top leagues.

In fact, in the 2017-18 season he emerged as the top winger of the Chinese league.

He is an international with the Chinese national team, having distinctions with all its age divisions. Among her top honors with the national emblem are gold medal at the Women’s Pan Asian Games (2018), but also U23 (2015), silver medal at the U19 World Championships (2011), silver medal at the Women’s Pan Asian Games (2023) both bronze medals at VNL (2018, 2019).

Regarding the start of cooperation with PAOK, Duane Fang stated on the club’s official website, acpaok.gr: “I am very happy for this new challenge in my career. PAOK is a team with high goals and, through work and team spirit, I wish to contribute as much as possible to help achieve them.”
