THE Achilles Beos has made the decision to leave Volos at the end of the season, as he has stated again in his statements.
The 65-year-old spoke to the “Astra” television station and noted that he will only talk to sell the team with serious businessmen and stressed that if this is not done will dissolve.
His statements:
“In 2017 I made the decision to unite Volos in football, for a number of years it has been suffering from a few people, 100 from Nea Ionia and 100 from Olympiakos Volos. They think football is cursing one’s mother and one’s house. Competitively, Volos achieved 200%, last year they played in the playoffs.
The city had sports tourism and development. I haven’t been able to bring people together and have a team hug, so there’s no reason for it to exist. I did not want to divide but to unite.
One team is in the A local, the other team found a clown from England to pay and the rest to do the agents. I’m tired and I’m leaving. I have nothing to prove. We will try to keep Volos in the Super League.
Regardless of whether it succeeds, we will look to find an entrepreneur to buy it, otherwise it will be dissolved. I will only talk to serious businessmen, I will give it for free. To me, my word is a contract.”
