He has been away for a month now Joel Embiid who talked about the chances of him fighting before the end of the regular season.

The 29-year-old suffered injury to the lateral meniscus in his left knee against the Golden State Warriors on Jan. 31.

A few days later, he underwent surgery and the re-evaluation was set for this week with him addressing the American Media: “The plan is to catch the last few games of the regular season. Obviously, everything has to go right until I’m healthy … but that’s the plan.”

Sams Sarania in early February had mentioned that the initial estimate for Embiid’s return was 6-8 weeks, but the recovery process will have a more important reason, which the 76ers center confirmed: “There is no timetable. You never know how the body will react, especially when you start to pick up the pace. It all depends on how you feel”

Philadelphia has 4-8 record in this period of absence of Embiid and overall 7-17 in how many games he has lost this season. The 76ers have the second toughest schedule among the Pacers, Heat and Magic who are immediate threats. 15 of their last 24 games are against teams with a positive record. “I want to play basketball. I want to be on the floor as much as possible. Fourth, fifth… eleventh it doesn’t matter where we are, I just want to play as much as I can and try to help us.”the two-time MVP said.
