Valverde’s Bilbao is unshakable against Barcelona!

by

Turn on… red on Barcelona the Bilbao.

Even 0-0 the duel between the two teams ended in “San Mames”, leaving the Catalans -8 behind leaders Real, who drew 2-2 against Valencia on Saturday. On the other hand, the Basques showed that they are in very good shape as they did not chew up against another strong opponent, coming off the great qualification against Atletico Madrid in Copa Del Rey. With this result, they stayed alive for an exit to the Champions League.

In the first half, Barcelona had a great phase with a long shot by Cancelo, which Simon took with difficulty and needed the intervention of Alvarez to remain 0-0, while in the 37th minute, the home team’s best moment in the first half is marked, with Araujo to chase away Berenger’s turnover, before Ignacy became dangerous. Xavi’s team was caughtlosing in the 26th minute De Jong and in the 45th Pedri with injury. The quality of the game was poor in the second half, with the pace not being good and Barcelona complaining about penalty kick to Yamal. Lewandowski had a good moment just before 60 minutes of action, with Paredes stopping him at the last minute. Bilbao almost took the match in the end, with Danny Garcia missing with a header and while he was unmarked at the second post.
