The 28th matchday of the Premier League is perhaps the most important of this year, since it includes the top match between Liverpool and Manchester City (10/03).
The schedule includes another crucial game between Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur Angelos Postecoglou. The two clubs are fighting for a Champions League ticket, with Emery’s side at +5, having played one more game.
The Greek-Australian coach spoke at the usual press conference, where among others he mentioned Timo Werner. The German was acquired on loan from the London club, with Postecoglou characterizing the 28-year-old as an important and mature footballer.
“I think he is very important. You can imagine that if we hadn’t brought him in in January, it would have been a lot more burdensome on the other players in the squad. Especially when Shawn was away. We immediately threw him into the field. And when you come in January, especially for someone like Timo, who is a mature player, he’s not someone we’ve brought in to develop, we’ve brought him in to make an impact and I think he’s done that for us. He works hard in training, I think his performances are improving. I think last week was probably his best performance, apart from the goal he scored“, said her coach Tottenham.

The German winger entered Postecoglou’s game plan relatively straight away and has featured in six matches, registering one goal and two assists.
