The final of the Women’s World Cup brought the trophy to Spain, and was marked by the kiss of Rubiales in Hermoso.
It was at the medal ceremony when Luis Rubiales kissed Jennifer Hermoso on the mouth without consent causing strong reactions. Accusations were made against the former president of the Spanish football federation not only for sexual harassment but also for coercion of the 33-year-old through third parties to publicly defend the abuser in a video! The prosecution therefore proposed a prison sentence of 2.5 years for the accused.
Accused of forcing Hermoso to label the kiss consensual considered to be Albert Luque, sports director of the men’s team, Jorge Wilda, then coach of the women’s team, and Ruben Riviera, marketing director of the federation. That is why the prosecution proposed 1.5 years in prison for each.
