The American center was hosted on ERT’s “Jambol” show and spoke about the whole matter, as he commented on his presence so far in the Piraeushis personal goals, what he wants to achieve with the team, but also the big three-pointer he hit against Red Star.

For Olympiakos’ 19-1 with him in the “red and white” and his goal: “We have only lost to Efes, who are an excellent team. I’m just trying to do my job. It’s a beautiful feeling to have such a streak before we lose to Efes but also after. We’ve built something here to get to the playoffs now. I’m a rookie here. In Turkey where I played, things were not like here. They expected other things from me. Here from day one I worked hard and found my role quickly.
As I score easy baskets I find more rhythm. I never expected a team, a family like Olympiakos. I’m happy to be here and this team is giving me the opportunity to move up, get better and be able to play in the NBA. But this is a secondary goal. Now what is important is the championship and a difficult competition like the Euroleague. It is very good to participate in it”.
On the chemistry with his teammates and coach: “It is something very important. Everyone can see it, here is a big family. From the very first day they welcomed me with open arms and encouraged me in their own way to contribute as much as I can to the team. In the end it’s the wins that count, nothing is clearer. Everyone plays hard and tries until the end and this is something the coach tells us too. That’s the mentality.”
For what he can offer to Olympiakos: “I can definitely play defense and steal the ball sometimes and run in transition with all my strength. I can still screen my teammates for shots and generally contribute both defensively and offensively.”
For the three points in Belgrade: “That’s the joke inside the team. I tell them I can’t reveal my numbers. I can not say…”.
On whether Olympiacos can be in the Final Four this year: “Our goal is always to win it all. We have to beat Fenerbahçe here first and then we will talk about the rest. That is, our ranking and the opponent we will play. First Fener and then the rest”.
