The… ball to the two finalists was thrown by EPO regarding its conduct Cup final. THE Alexis Savvopoulos transferred to News Bulletin 247 the latest information about the venue of the big match. As mentioned, the Hellenic Football Federation called on Panathinaikos and Aris to decide if they want the match to be played at Panthessaliko without people or to be played with the presence of fans but in another stadium.
How did we get to this development? According to what Alexis Savvopoulos reported, Achilleas Beos, as mayor of Volos, informed the Greek Federation that the cost of installing the high-definition cameras and the turnstiles amounts to a total of 260,000 euros. Achilleas Beos asked the EPO to cover part of the cost, the 70,000 euros to allow the project to proceed. The answer of the Greek federation, however, was negative with the result that it is no longer possible to use the Panthessal Stadium for the final with the fans present.
Her next move was to address the two groups and ask them to answer what their decision is to the question… Held at Panthessaliko but without people or at another stadium -which will comply with the provisions of the new regulation- in the presence of people.
As Alexis Savvopoulos concluded, from So far, there has been no initial reaction to the issue raised by the EPO. We should point out that in her letter to the groups EPO requests that they announce their decision by Monday.
