The first day of the European Grappling Championship in Loutraki started in an impressive way. The closed gym “Galanopoulos” has worn its best and has welcomed the best Grappling U15 athletes of old Epirus.
The spectacle offered by the young athletes was unique, the passion, the anxiety and the talent are definitely the legacy for the future.
The Greek delegation celebrated four medals with the Greek wrestlers winning the applause from the first moment. In fact, our country won one gold medal and three bronze.
In the category of 80k. Elena Zaimidou won the gold medal and proudly climbed to the highest step of the podium. In the same category, Anna Papageorgiou won the bronze medal.
Angelina Tselekidi also got on the podium, who at 48k. won the bronze medal. Lamprini Pergeli at 57k. stepped onto the winners’ podium as he won the bronze medal
The European Championships continue today with athletes competing in Gi.
