A first for Miltos Tedoglou in Cyprus. The “golden” Olympian in the long jump had a jump of 8.25 in his third attempt during the Limassol track and field meeting and showed that he is in good competitive shape, ahead of the European Championships in Rome. The world champion of the event in Budapest started with a jump of 8.01, continued with a void, while, after 8.25, he did 8.24 and finished with a void and 7.97.
Georgia Despollaris didn’t have the competition she would have liked, so she couldn’t chase another sub-2.02 performance in the 800 meters, finishing first, however, with 2.03.29.

In the same event, Yannis Kamarinos was ninth in the 110 meters hurdles with 14.11 and Christos Roumtsios 12th with 14.16. The two athletes improved their records this year.
In a meeting in Bilbao, Haris Xenidakis was second in his series at 800 meters with 1.50.02.
